Investment Technology
The Investment Technology group builds and enhances technology that supports the firm’s end-to-end investment lifecycle. It brings together capabilities across analytics, deal workflow, trading, execution, and operations to enable consistent, efficient, and data-driven investment processes. Through modern, scalable, and secure platforms, the group empowers investment teams with integrated tools that drive insight, automation, and operational excellence across all asset classes.

What will you do as the Head of Deal Process & Management (Investment Technology)?
As the Head of Deal Process & Management within Investment Technology (INVT), you will lead the global technology function responsible for delivering a unified, digital platform that streamlines and standardizes the end to end deal lifecycle across GIC’s Private Markets investments. You will define and execute a multi year technology strategy that transforms how deals are originated, evaluated, approved, and executed - enabling greater governance, data integrity, and transparency across asset classes.
- Set and drive the strategic direction for the deal lifecycle technology platform, aligning with GIC’s enterprise priorities around data transformation, AI adoption, cybersecurity, and operating model modernisation.
- Lead the design and delivery of a front to back deal management platform, integrating CRM, origination, due diligence, approval, and closing workflows into a cohesive digital ecosystem.
- Oversee technology delivery across deal management systems, CRM, document management, and data repositories, ensuring seamless integration and performance across internal and vendor platforms.
- Partner with Global Investment Services (GIS) and Legal to align workflows, governance, and data standards across Private Markets, Funds, and PIPE investments.
- Drive automation of key deal lifecycle processes, including approvals, due diligence, and documentation, to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering & Architecture, Data, and Risk & Controls teams to ensure architectural consistency, data integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Represent Investment Technology in internal and external governance forums, steering committees, and vendor or industry working groups, influencing technology direction and best practices.
- Lead and develop a global team of approximately 30 technology professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Champion talent development and succession planning, building sustainable leadership capability and technical excellence within the team.
Success in this role will be measured by:
- Delivery of the unified deal lifecycle platform, consolidation of disparate systems, improved data quality and transparency, stakeholder satisfaction, compliance adherence, and strong talent engagement.
What makes you a successful candidate?
You are a seasoned technology leader with a deep understanding of the investment deal lifecycle and a proven ability to deliver complex, enterprise scale transformation. You combine strategic foresight with hands on execution and the ability to lead diverse teams through change.
- Extensive experience - at least 20 years in technology leadership roles within global financial institutions or asset managers, with exposure to Private Markets or investment lifecycle platforms.
- Proven transformation leadership, having delivered large scale, multi year initiatives that modernise systems, improve governance, and enhance business outcomes.
- Strong domain knowledge of the deal lifecycle - from CRM and origination through due diligence, approval, and closing - and familiarity with deal management, workflow, and data integration platforms.
- Technical acumen in process automation, data management, and digital document management, with the ability to apply these to streamline complex business processes.
- Collaborative leadership style, with the ability to partner effectively with Global Investment Services, Legal, and enterprise technology teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders, governance bodies, and external vendors.
- Inspirational people leadership, fostering high performance, innovation, and professional growth across global teams.
- Commitment to governance and risk management, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, regulatory, and operational standards.
- Academic foundation in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
