Strategy, Architecture and Transformation Office
The Strategy, Architecture and Transformation function drives our technology strategy and is at the forefront of technology transformative initiatives across the organisation. We set the vision for technology, shape enterprise architecture, and enable scalability to deliver lasting business value.

 

What impact can you make in this role?

We contribute to GIC’s success by ensuring operational efficiency, performance monitoring, and risk management. The COO's office collaborates with stakeholders across GIC to foster continuous improvement through cross-functional collaboration, quality assurance, and performance evaluation.

 

What will you do as a Architecture Practice Manager?

As Architecture Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Enterprise Architect to shape and drive the enterprise architecture agenda, champion best practices, and ensure architecture delivers real business value. You will be at the forefront of enabling strategic outcomes through robust governance, proactive engagement, and continuous improvement across the architecture function.

 

Drive the Architecture Function

  • Secretariat for Architecture Governance Forums: You will be the Secretariat for GIC’s architecture governance forums, including the Architecture Review Forum (ARF) and Enterprise Architecture Board (ARB). You will support the Enterprise Architect to set the agenda, curate impactful discussions, and ensure actionable outcomes that advance GIC’s architecture strategy
  • Proactive Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for Project Managers, Product Managers, and Solution Architects, providing guidance and advisory support throughout the Architecture governance lifecycle. You will help projects navigate governance requirements and champion the adoption of architecture standards
  • Architecture Advocacy: Actively advocate for the architecture practice, communicating its vision, purpose, and value to your stakeholders. You will help technology teams to embed architecture principles into business and technology initiatives, ensuring alignment and realization of strategic objectives
  • Practice Enablement: Drive training and capability development within the architecture function, identifying needs, developing plans, and coordinating impactful learning experiences
  • Performance Analytics: Collect, analyze, and report on architecture scorecard metrics, compliance, providing insights that inform continuous improvement

 

Operational Excellence

  • Pipeline & Resource Management: Oversee the architecture work plan and project pipeline. You will proactively identify upcoming initiatives and support the Enterprise Architect to mobilize the right talent to deliver outcomes
  • Vendor & Consultant Management: Support the engagement and operational management of external vendors and consultants where needed, ensuring seamless onboarding, milestone tracking, and delivery against architecture objectives
  • Process & Practice Development: Continuously uplift and evolve architecture practice processes, tools, and governance frameworks to enable scalability and effectiveness as the organization grows

 

What makes you a successful candidate?

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent higher education qualification
  • Possess 8 to 10 years of experience in project management, business management, or secretariat roles, preferably within Technology or Operations sectors
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Jira and Confluence
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Showcase excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships, influence decisions, and build consensus
  • Experienced in designing and optimizing business processes to ensure scalability, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Prior experience with enterprise architecture, architecture governance, and the financial services industry is advantageous
