Risk and Performance Management Department


The Risk and Performance Management Department is responsible for the independent assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting of GIC’s market, credit and operational risk profiles.


We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and technically competent individual who has an interest in performance management, systems and methodologies. You will be a member of the Risk Systems and Infrastructure team to provide performance management and measurement support to the organisation.



  • Be the subject matter expert on the data within the performance system and ensure quality data to support business needs and that the system performs as per functional and operational design. You will work closely with the Technology Group in managing system enhancements and prioritising change requests.
  • Work with risk managers, risk analysts and the technology group to implement new performance models or enhancements to existing models.
  • Design and manage the end-to-end workflow of the performance system, from batch preparation work, data checks and reconciliations and publishing of results.
  • Review and rectification of the performance data so that accurate performance reports can be produced.
  • Design the system tools and reports needed to support smooth operation
  • Assess and manage the impact of upstream data changes or new business initiatives (such as new product requests) on existing system and processes.
  • Lead a team of junior system analysts in the running of performance system operations and ensure the analytics are produced on a timely and accurate basis
  • Be trained to provide operational cover for teammates managing risk measurement and monitoring systems


  • A good Degree in Banking & Finance, Engineering or related fields of study
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience in the finance industry
  • Strong understanding of financial products, trade operations, market data and investment performance.
  • Experience in working with performance systems, project implementation, operation and reporting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with different stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Able to work independently under pressure.
  • Good team player who possesses drive and initiative to be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong technical skills such as Microsoft Office suite, SQL or other programming languages.
  • Additional qualifications such as CFA and CIPM will be considered favourably.
  • Prior experience with Eagle Investment Systems is a plus.
