Strategy, Architecture, and Transformation Group
The Strategy, Architecture & Transformation (SAT) group shapes and drives GIC’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and enterprise goals. Bringing together expertise in strategy, architecture, engineering, and transformation, the team strengthens governance, promotes consistency, and accelerates delivery across the Technology Group. Through modern practices and close collaboration, SAT leads the development of an architectural strategy that reinforces oversight and accountability while enabling reliable, scalable solutions and informed decision making across the Technology Group and, more broadly, across GIC.

What Will You Do as a Programme Manager (Strategic Programme Delivery)?
In this pivotal role, you will lead strategic programmes within the Strategy, Architecture, and Transformation Division of the Technology Group. Your primary focus will be on orchestrating collective efforts across various technology domains – applications, data, infrastructure, and cyber security – to deliver comprehensive strategies that shape our target-state technology landscape and business architecture. These multi-year programmes carry significant impact and involve multiple stakeholders and delivery teams from different technology divisions.
- Programme Leadership: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and stakeholder expectations. You will be responsible for managing complex interdependencies across multiple workstreams
- Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage key stakeholders, establishing clear accountability for the delivery of specific workstreams. Foster collaboration among diverse teams to ensure successful programme execution
- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify risks associated with programme delivery and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges. Monitor risk factors throughout the programme lifecycle
- Detailed Activity Management: Utilise tools such as Microsoft Project to manage detailed bottom-up activities and dependencies. Analyse the implications of delays in specific activities on the overall project timeline and deliverables
- Dashboarding and Tracking: Leverage Planview for dashboarding and tracking key milestones, integrating with JIRA to automate data gathering on task status (on track, at risk, or delayed). Ensure that all teams are aligned on progress and outcomes
- Meeting Cadence and Governance: Arrange and facilitate regular meetings, including alignment sessions among working groups and steering committee meetings to resolve issues. Clearly articulate problem statements, present options with quantified trade-offs, and document decisions for future reference
- Compliance and Governance: Learn and adhere to related approval and governance processes, including architecture reviews, internal funding and resourcing, and procurement processes (RFx). Ensure that all programme activities comply with organisational standards
What makes you a successful candidate?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in project management or related disciplines are an advantage
- Experience: At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in programme management, particularly in technology-driven environments. Proven track record of managing complex, multi-year programmes with significant stakeholder involvement
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of technology concepts across applications, data, infrastructure, and cyber security. Ability to comprehend the complexities of technology programmes and their implications for business architecture
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in using Microsoft Project for detailed activity management and Planview for milestone tracking. Familiarity with JIRA for task management and automated reporting
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, articulate problem statements, and evaluate options with quantified trade-offs
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across diverse teams
- Organisational Skills: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
