Vice President, Vendor Governance
We are looking for an experienced Technology Shared Services VP to join the Vendor Governance Office (VGO) within TG. This role will lead, support the setup, stabilisation and day-to-day delivery of a centralised Technology Shared Services function that consolidates vendor lifecycle administration, procurement operations, financial control support, operational reporting and governance evidence management across TG, starting with the Infrastructure and Cyber Resilience pilot and scaling progressively across divisions.
What will you do as a Vice President, Vendor Governance?
- Technology Shared Services Delivery & Process Management
- Lead and support the mobilisation, stabilisation, and progressive scale-out of the VGO Technology Shared Services function—initially focused on ICR and subsequently expanding coverage across all TG divisions.
- Define, maintain, and operationalise the Shared Services service catalogue, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control checkpoints, escalation paths, RACI model, and management reporting cadence under VGO leadership.
- Lead and coordinate the standardisation of vendor administration, procurement coordination, and governance support activities that are currently fragmented across TG delivery teams.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day activities of Shared Services team members and contractors, covering onboarding, lifecycle management, financial tracking, spend management, reporting, and vendor administration.
- Vendor Lifecycle, Procurement & Service Delivery Controls
- Manage operational coordination of vendor onboarding, extensions, renewals and offboarding, ensuring agreed service levels, documentation completeness and policy compliance.
- Coordinate PRF/PO processing, procurement follow-ups, vendor data maintenance and exception handling in collaboration with TG stakeholders, Procurement, Finance, Risk and vendors.
- Apply maker-checker controls and operational evidence standards to ensure accurate, complete and auditable vendor lifecycle records.
- Track service performance, open actions, ageing items and SLA breaches, and escalate material risks or bottlenecks for timely resolution.
- Financial Control, Spend Reconciliation & Governance Reporting
- Support vendor spend reconciliation, invoice verification, GR posting coordination, accrual tracking and validation of charges against approved contractual and SOW terms.
- Prepare and maintain TG-wide dashboards covering vendor headcount, spend, onboarding SLA, renewals, exceptions, risk indicators, control status and operational performance.
- Maintain vendor operational data quality, reporting consistency, governance evidence capture and audit readiness in line with VGO standards.
- Support management reviews by consolidating operational data, highlighting key issues, preparing insights and tracking follow-up actions for VGO and TG leadership.
- Process Transformation, Automation & Continuous Improvement
-
Drive, execute process improvement and automation initiatives for vendor lifecycle and procurement workflows, including Deskera, CUFI, PRF/PO, onboarding, validation and reporting processes where feasible.
-
Identify recurring pain points, lead control gaps and manual handoffs, and recommend process improvements to reduce duplication, shorten cycle times and improve user experience.
-
Partner with internal stakeholders to support adoption of the Shared Services model, including communications, training coordination, change support and service feedback tracking.
-
Contribute to the transition roadmap from pilot to steady-state operations by tracking service outcomes, dependencies, resourcing needs and maturity milestones.
-
Lead, support centralized TG procurement administration activities, including training requests, software subscriptions, and approved vendor related purchases.
-
Collate operational data, administer surveys or polls, and track responses with timely reminders.
-
Provide general administrative and coordination support for vendor governance or operations initiatives as required.
-
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Degree holder with 10+ years of experience in shared services, vendor governance, technology operations, procurement operations, finance operations, risk controls or service delivery management.
- Experience operationalising SOPs, service catalogues, RACI, controls, dashboards, KPIs and escalation mechanisms in a structured service delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of vendor lifecycle management, procurement workflows, PRF/PO processes, spend tracking, invoice validation, accruals and audit evidence requirements.
- Experience coordinating small teams, contractors or cross-functional workstreams, with the ability to prioritise work across multiple stakeholders in a complex technology environment.
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, with the ability to convert fragmented operational data into management insights, risk indicators and actionable recommendations.
- Experience with workflow, procurement, finance, reporting or automation tools such as Deskera, CUFI, Jira, Power BI, SharePoint or equivalent platforms is preferred.
- Good stakeholder management, written communication and governance discipline, with the ability to raise issues, track actions and apply standards consistently.
