Data Strategy Group
Data Strategy Group (DSG) harnesses and leverages on GIC’s most valuable asset – Data, to drive insights, results and solve real business challenges. We ingest, analyze and combine data with context across all industries and asset classes to enable investment decisions and enhance investment process. Together, we strive to build a high-performance enterprise data infrastructure, create results-driven approach with data products and strive to be a data-driven organization.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to oversee our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong business background, with a proven track record of managing business operations and driving growth. The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day business operations, developing and implementing business strategies, analyzing financial and operational data, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong business background, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
What will you do as VP/SVP, Business Manager?
- Develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Oversee day-to-day business operations, including finance, human resources, marketing, and customer service
- Develop and manage budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and partners
- Lead cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in business management, with experience in finance, human resources, marketing, and customer service
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve their goals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Experience in developing and managing budgets, financial forecasts, and business plans
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
