What impact will you make in this role?
We are seeking an accomplished End User Infrastructure Security & Engineering Lead to define and drive the enterprise strategy for secure, modern, and resilient End-User Infrastructure (EUI).
This multifaceted leadership role will provide architectural vision, governance, engineering direction, and integration excellence across the global Digital Workplace ecosystem — including Microsoft 365, endpoint platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), collaboration tools, and unified communications.
The ideal candidate is a strategic technology leader and hands-on architect who can shape the future of digital workplace security and experience, embedding Zero Trust principles, cyber resilience, and enterprise scalability. This role partners with senior stakeholders, architects, and security executives to deliver a secure, seamless, and productive workplace environment aligned with business and regulatory objectives.
What will you do as a VP/SVP, End User Infrastructure Security & Engineering Lead?
Strategic Engineering and Solution Architecture
- Define and execute the EUI architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals, IT strategy, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Provide strategic leadership for end-user services, including Microsoft 365, endpoint management, collaboration, and remote access platforms.
- Champion Zero Trust and cyber resilience within the EUS domain, ensuring continuity, recoverability, and strong endpoint protection.
- Drive modernization programs for workplace technologies, enhancing agility, productivity, and user experience.
- Partner with security and infrastructure teams to ensure workplace platforms are designed for resilience, performance, and compliance.
Engineering & Solutions Design
- Lead global engineering and solution design efforts for secure and scalable workplace technologies.
- Oversee the architecture, build, and deployment of Digital Workplace solutions including M365, Teams/Voice, Intune, and VDI platforms (Citrix, VMware, Azure Virtual Desktop).
- Develop reference architectures, patterns, and frameworks to ensure consistency, standardization, and operational excellence.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven workplace tools, advanced collaboration platforms) to enhance user experience and security posture.
- Provide hands-on technical oversight during build, integration, and deployment cycles.
Governance & Enterprise Standards
- Establish and maintain enterprise standards, policies, and baselines for all Digital Workplace platforms.
- Drive alignment with risk, compliance, and audit requirements, ensuring adherence to frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, and MAS TRM.
- Lead architectural governance for major workplace programs, ensuring security-by-design and compliance with enterprise policies.
- Define the operational and service model for EUS, ensuring strong SLAs, availability, and user satisfaction.
Integration & Build
- Oversee integration of workplace technologies with enterprise infrastructure, security controls, and cloud services.
- Lead build and release processes, ensuring secure configurations, automation, and quality assurance.
- Champion automation, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code principles for consistent, scalable deployments.
- Drive continuous improvement through engineering innovation, operational telemetry, and analytics-based optimization.
Cyber Resilience & Recovery
- Lead the development of cyber resilience strategies for EUI platforms to ensure rapid recovery during cyber incidents.
- Establish and validate endpoint recovery and VDI restoration frameworks aligned with enterprise resilience objectives.
- Collaborate with Cyber Resilience and Business Continuity teams to ensure workplace platforms meet recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO).
- Conduct regular simulation and readiness testing for workplace service recovery.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing global engineering and architecture team across regions.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Risk teams to ensure cohesive technology strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and IT executives, influencing technology roadmaps and investment decisions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and security-first mindset within the EUI organization.
What makes you a successful candidate?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- 15+ years of working experience as a Digital Workplace or End-User Services leader in large-scale, global enterprises.
- Strong ability to translate business needs into technical strategy and future-state architecture
- Demonstrated success in leading complex workplace transformation or modernization programs.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender suite, Viva, and collaboration tools).
- Expertise in endpoint management platforms (Windows, macOS, mobile), VDI solutions (Citrix, VMware, Azure Virtual Desktop).
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust, device compliance, and endpoint security models.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, and secure workplace architectures.
- Familiarity with networking, device integration, automation, and monitoring frameworks.
- Proven ability to engineer and integrate complex EUS solutions across global environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, optimization, and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or ITIL Expert
- Experience working in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, or government).
