The Real Estate (RE) arm of GIC invests in real estate and real estate‐related assets outside of Singapore. We manage a well‐diversified portfolio covering over 40 countries in property sectors such as offices, retail, hotels, residential, industrial, niche sectors and companies.

 

Receptionist

An opportunity now arises for you to join our support team. You will play an important role in performing receptionist duties as well as provide general office support to a team of investment professionals in our Japan office. This role will be on a contract basis.

 

What to Expect:

  • Be part of a dynamic team helping to grow GIC’s business in Japan (active in Japan for more than 30 years)
  • Experience working with a team of international investment professionals in Tokyo
  • Prime office location in central Tokyo (short walk from Tokyo Train Station)
  • Opportunity to showcase and refine English communication skills and organizational skills

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the office runs smoothly on a daily basis
  • Greet external guests and provide coffee/tea/water upon their arrival
  • Manage meeting room bookings for office staff and ensure meeting rooms are kept clean
  • Set up ZOOM/Microsoft Teams/other virtual channels at meeting rooms
  • Handle internal and external mail, parcels, and deliveries including but not limited to newspapers, office supplies, office stationary, pantry snacks and beverages. 
  • Organize and manage delivery for meals for office staff when necessary; provide new ideas and suggestions on the menu and restaurant on a regular basis
  • Ensure the pantry area is kept clean
  • Ensure that the office is kept clean and orderly manner; speak with respective parties, including janitorial staff and building management if necessary
  • Support organizing team events and festive holiday celebrations
  • Support other office staff and assist various business matters on an ad hoc basis
  • Arrange external dinners including booking venues and gifts (otemiyage)
  • Be in charge of office incoming calls i.e.,  picking up reception interphone and the main line/direct line of the company 

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
  • Fluent in Japanese and business level English is preferred
  • Precision and detail oriented
  • Open to taking on new tasks
